Track What Matters.
Ever felt like you’re doing all the right things but still not seeing results? One client of mine was in that exact spot—working hard yet convinced she didn’t ‘have what it takes’ to attract more clients. After some digging, we discovered she was only spending about an hour a week on activities that actually drove results. Her mind had been so busy that it felt like she was putting in tons of effort, but the numbers told a different story.
Data Brings Clarity, Not Just “Feelings”
On the other hand, I remember a time when I was training for a race and felt like I wasn’t working hard enough. A glance at my progress check in told a different story; I was exactly where I needed to be. The numbers saved me from a cycle of self-doubt that didn’t reflect reality.
Knowing your data gives you a clearer perspective, lifting you out of any in-the-moment doubts and giving you real insight into your progress and what is and isn’t working.
The Challenge: Track Two Things for a Month
For the next month, what if you track two specific actions you know are important to your goals? It could be time spent on client-generating activities, water intake, or how often you’re connecting with someone important to you. Pick metrics that truly reflect the effort needed to get where you want to go. Tracking might surprise you— it’s a quick way to lift the fog and turn mental effort into meaningful progress.
By grounding yourself in data, you’ll be amazed at the clarity it brings.
With warmth,
Amy
